International Trade Fair and Congress from 19 to 21 March 2012

Berlin, 26 October 2011 – More and more exhibitors are signing up for Laser Optics Berlin 2012, with the Early Bird discount offered by this international event being very well received both in Germany and abroad. Barely five months before the trade fair opens 80 per cent of the 2010 display area has already been booked. Companies such as Yokogawa, II-VI Deutschland, OWIS, Avantes, FEMTOLASERS and numerous other leading names have already secured their place at Laser Optics Berlin 2012. Combined displays from OpTecBB e.V. and Mikrosystemtechnik aus Berlin are also due to go on show. Those interested in joining them will have to be quick, however, as the special terms of the Early Bird offer are valid only until 31 October 2011, after which allocation of hall space begins.

Kerstin Kube-Erkens, the project manager of Laser Optics Berlin, is optimistic: “Even when the Early Bird offer ends there are still compelling reasons to attend. This is the first time the prestigious Optical Society of America (OSA) is organizing the international congress at Laser Optics. Cooperation between our trade fair and microsys Berlin has also reached a new level. As of next year the two industry events will be taking place under a single roof. This will be the first business platform among German trade fairs to mirror the products and services of both the optical technology and microsystem technology industries.”

Messe Berlin is preparing to host an even greater number of exhibitors from around the world. Next year the event is moving to Halls 12 to 14, where there will be enough space for the trade fair and congress at Laser Optics, for microsys, as well as for a comprehensive supporting programme, which will include specialist forums at Laser Optics Berlin, a number of industry meetings, recruiting days, and opportunities for advanced training.
