News about the German-Polish cooperation at Laser Optics Berlin
On 10 and 11 January 2012 there was again a meeting between representatives of the Berlin-Brandenburg and Warsaw technology regions- this time in the Polish capital. After an initial meeting at the end of November in Berlin, there have already been 35 discussions on cooperation between companies and research facilities on both sides. They were arranged by Enterprise Europe Network, which also includes TSB Innovationsagentur Berlin GmbH.
The next important stage of the collaboration is Laser Optics Berlin from 19 to 21 March. Polish companies and colleges will be represented for the first time with a combined stand at this international trade fair (see exhibitors). Several user workshops are also planned to develop further collaboration as effectively as possible. One of the workshops is on gallium nitride semiconductor technology. It will take place on March 19, from 9.30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in room 14.2.
Discussions on topics such as optical measurement technology, optical data transfer and laser technology are also planned. The collaboration between both technology regions should definitely continue after Laser Optics Berlin. For this purpose, a suitable roadmap will be discussed during the trade fair.
Warsaw is partner city of Laser Optics Berlin 2012!
Next year the Polish capital Warsaw will take part in Laser Optics Berlin for the first time with a comprehensive joint presentation.
According to Ms. Gronkiewicz-Waltz, President of the City of Warsaw, the market for optical technologies is among the areas in which knowledge transfer between science and business is most effective, and one in which Warsaw is developing very quickly. Pioneers in this field include the Technical Military Academy in Warsaw, the Warsaw university of technology, and the Medical University of Warsaw.
Through the partnership with the Laser Optics Berlin 2012 cooperation between the Berlin/Brandenburg region and Warsaw is supposed to be strengthened.
Also Dr. Helge Neumann, head of the international offices of Wista Management GmbH, which operates Germany’s largest technology park in Berlin-Adlershof, is interested in a long-term cooperation with the Warsaw region.
The Wista Management GmbH is offering their partners from Warsaw comprehensive support and assistance ahead of Laser Optics Berlin 2012 and will continue to do so after the event.
The joint preparations are to be launched in November at a “Warsaw business lunch“ in Berlin. With the support of TSB Innovationsagentur Berlin GmbH meetings will be taking place between research facilities from Warsaw and companies with industry representatives from the Berlin/Brandenburg region.
During the international trade fair from 19 to 21 March 2012, the city of Warsaw will host a joint presentation. Among the events planned during the fair are meetings with representatives of business, science and politics from the Berlin/Brandenburg region.
