Laser Optics Berlin 2012 was very successful with an increase in exhibitors, display area and congress delegates.

Not only a large number of exhibitors but also the organisers of the Optics and Photonics Congress, which for the first time was held in collaboration with the world-renowned science and technology association OSA – the Optical Society of America – gave a positive assessment.

Forward-looking cooperation with optical region Warsaw

On the part of the partner city Warsaw the feedback concerning Laser Optics Berlin 2012 was more than positive. Maciej Fijałkowski, Director of the European Funds Office of the City of Warsaw confirmed:

“It was a valuable experience to participate in Laser Optics 2012 in Berlin. Warsaw has the most significant share in Polish optic market, which exceeds ca. 60 per cent. Our research institutes and universities as well as companies had a good opportunity to show their products and abilities. Our attendance in Laser Optics 2012 also creates opportunities for further cooperation between Berlin and Warsaw.”

The close cooperation between Laser Optics Berlin and the optical region Warsaw took place for the first time in 2012. Warsaw had been represented at the international trade show with a large combined stand.

Together with Berlin and its local region Polish companies, institutes and universities used this unique opportunity to introduce their latest products and technical innovations. Meetings with representatives of business, science and politics of the Berlin-Brandenburg region during the trade fair made the Polish participation perfect.
